Overview

Practice the whole second songs routine with the Key of D.

Goal: Play the song.

Practice Speed: Medium.

OF NOTE:

  1. The key of D introduces a Bm chord.
  2. Remember that on Bm, finger 1 bars only 5 strings. Touch the tip of finger 1 to string 6 to mute it, and strum all the strings.

Final Thoughts

At this point changing to bar chords is probably getting a lot easier, but the sound may not be improving yet. Stick with the plan: check to make sure your bar chord position is perfect on every chord. After that, keep playing songs and exercises with bar chords. Accept whatever sound you get, be patient, and let the sound improve gradually on its own.
