INSTRUCTIONS

  • Practice each lesson several times if necessary before moving on to the next one.
  • Complete all of the lessons in order to play the song correctly.
  • Lesson 0: Listen to the song.
  • Lesson 1: Jump to 1:03 on the video. Play one strum per chord in the order of the song; stop the video if necessary to keep pace.
  • Lesson 2: Without the video, repeat lesson 1 without the video; go very slowly and pause if necessary.
  • Lesson 3: Jump to 3:16 on the video. Play one strum per chord; do not stop the video.
  • Lesson 4: Without the video, repeat lesson 3 without the video; slowly say "Next, ready, go," just like in the video; do not pause.
  • Lesson 5: Jump to 5:30 on the video. Play one strum per chord at a steady pace; do not stop the video.
  • Lesson 6: Without the video, repeat lesson 5 without the video; go very slowly in order to keep a steady pace.
  • Lesson 7: Jump to 6:23 on the video. Strum and count; count out loud as you play.
  • Lesson 8: Without the video, repeat lesson 7 without the video.
  • Lesson 9: Play and sing with the song at the beginning of the video.
  • Lesson 10: Without the video, repeat lesson 9 without the video.

Remember:

  1. Bar chords won't sound good immediately.
  2. Always use good technique, as explained in the video.
  3. If you can play a lesson or song perfect except the bar chords don't sound right, move on to the next lesson.
  4. Use good technique for every bar chord and over time all of your bar chords will sound better.
